- VEIL CARE:Yay - your veil has arrived! You’re probably wondering how to care for your wedding veil to ensure it looks 100% pristine on your special day. Follow our tips below:UNPACKING:When unpacking your veil make sure you are unpacking it in a clean and tidy area. Make sure to remove anything from the area that could catch on the veil (ie. anything sharp or poky). If you have ordered a 75" or 96" veil, there is the chance that when you are unpacking it, it will touch the ground, so make sure the floor is clean.STEAMING / IRONING:Your veil will likely have some creases in it due to how it was shipped, but don't fret! These creases are easily removed. There are two ways in which you can get those creases out of your veil:1. With a hand held steamer. This is our #1 recommendation as the steam will gently remove any unwanted creases (and to be honest, it is very satisfying!). Gently move the steamer up and down on the veil (don't worry, the steamer can touch the veil as long as your steamer head is clean!) until the creases have relaxed.2. With an iron. Please be VERY careful if you choose to use an iron. Make sure to put your iron on a very low setting and place a cloth or piece of fabric in-between the veil and the iron when ironing. NEVER touch the iron to the veil directly.Feel free to steam / iron your veil right when it arrives, however you will need to steam / iron it again the morning of the wedding to make sure it looks pristine for your walk down the aisle!STORING YOUR VEIL:If you are already storing your wedding dress at home, the best place to store the veil is directly in the garment bag with your dress. Hang it loosely over a hanger and pop it in with your dress! If you do not have your dress at home yet, we recommend folding it gently and placing it in either a bag that can be zipped up or a box. We recommend keeping this bag or box in a closet, to make sure it is out of direct sunlight. This will ensure the veil will not change colour while being stored.Thank you for purchasing an Anais Anette veil! We can't wait to see how you style it on your wedding day.
